A Much Better Night

That was better. Both Jo and I stayed over at the hospital last night, and both Tessa's pain and her itchyness were kept under control. They're thinking she can try to get out of bed today - they've ordered her some kind of go-kart, and they've measured the distance around the floor... it takes 5 laps to make the 1/4 mile. We're going to set the new world record. A chest x-ray, some solid food, and then they might take out her chest tube today!

I finally got my adapter to get the pictures from our big camera (not my Treo). Here's a few shots from the last few days... in this order: (1) Tess immediately before surgery in the pre-op holding area; (2) Tess and her Dad, all gowned and ready to head into the OR; (3) The helipad right outside our window... Justin, you're going to love seeing this helicopter take off and land! (4) Sunrise over Boston out our window.

Wow, we are so thrilled to know she is out and doing better. I can't imagine the itchy thing... my kids can't go 10 seconds without letting us hear about an itch. We are so grateful for the blog. We love you Martha and Andy

Hey Bushfields! I didn't know about Tess' situation, and I am glad to see that she is doing so well. Kids can be so resilient... It has been a while since I have seen Tess and Justin; they must be big by now, having seen the pictures of Tess. Much love, always,

Kathryn H.

Hi you guys......we're so thankful to get this good news that all is well, except for the itchiness - hopefully that will disappear soon, too.
We're anxiously awaiting news that Tess is up in her go-cart and zooming around.
Tim, we loved your beautiful poem....and also were intrigued by the 'stranger from down under' - how on earth do people find blogs without addresses? Very cool they sent you this message.
Cheers to Lynn and tell her we're praying for energy for her, too.
Love, Donna & Andrew

Tim,

Keith just clued us in to your blog.

I'm crying at work. Thanks.

How hard it is to read this from so far away. We are praying that Jesus swarms your family with a grace and peace that you will never, ever forget.

All praise and honor to Him for Tess's successful surgery.

We love you both tremendously.
